No problem. I needed to know too as I want to set myself a reminder. Going to go this year myself if at all possible.

The rally headquarters are at a motel in Eureka Springs (the Traveler's Inn). When you pre-register, you get a room discount. It was $38/night last year. The rooms at the Traveler's Inn are fine (good bed, great shower, cable TV). Overflow goes into a motel across the street (same rate). There are also discounted camping rates. The campground is about 2 miles away. You must register to participate. When you pre-register, they handle your room reservation or campsite reservation for you.

I spent most of my time looking at other scooters and vendor's goods, meeting and talking with other scooter riders, and riding. There are a couple of good banquets - I went to those. There are organized rides, scooter games, some seminars on safe riding, scooter maintenance, etc..
Taking the trolley into downtown Eureka is fun (it stops in front of the motel), and there are other area attractions to see. You can buy a trolley pass good for an entire day and catch most of the sights without worrying about parking - parking is at a premium downtown. Most of the time I did what I wanted to rather than schedule my time around organized activities. I was on the go every day from about 7am 'till 11pm. Except for one day that it rained, I spent very little time at my room.

Sounds busy and Eureka Springs is such a nice place and not too far a ride from where I live. My wife and I are planning on it but she'd probably ride behind me in her vehicle. Either that or we'd trailor it. Somthing in me wants to take on the 400-500 miles on the 650 though.

There were some folks who trailered their scoots. The trip was a little over 500 miles for me (535 I think). I did ride my 650, and will do so again if I return this year. It is a boring trip for me until I reach Arkansas - then the roads get pretty interesting. If I was sane, I'd buy a trailer, because all super riding spots seem to be about 500 miles from where I live! But riding to the destination has always been be a part of the adventure. I can't quite let go of that. And the "long distance" award went to a guy who rode a Honda Helix 250cc from California (and has done that in prior years too). That makes 500 miles seem like child's play.

I had a 400 mile round trip ride last weekend from my home to Biloxi, MS so the distance won't be problem at all for me. However, I struggle to get my wife to ride to the end of the street with me on the 650 so it would be out of the question for her. She's much more at home with her Tahoe and satellite radio.

Scootercade in Eureka Springs, AR

Hi, I am Margaret and we live in Springdale,AR and plan to go again to Scootercade in August 14-18, 2005. My husband and I are planning on doing a ride for anyone interested, to see the ARkansas Grand Cayon. These roads are very good and crooked. Beautiful scenery!! It will be an all day ride most likely. We can take a lunch or stop in Jasper,AR to eat. We are looking forward to this year again. Also, I am excited to meet all of you that are on the Burgman site, that are coming to scootercade.

There is a parade they do one day, downtown Eureka.... We missed it last year.

I wanted to attend last year, but had no Burgman yet. Would love to go this year, but chances of getting the Burgman are looking really bad
Who knows, maybe I'll get lucky in the next couple months.

How many members are planning on going to Scootercade this year. I am thinking about flying to Nashville and driving there, how long of a drive is it, what road would be best to take. How hot is it there is summer, and do I need to make Hotel reservations around Nashville area and on way to Scootercade, any susjestions on travel. Wife is always ready for an adventure. Will not have my 650 with me. Wayne

Wayne,

According to MapQuest it's 521 miles. Hotels in Nashville shouldn't be a problem unless one of the big country music events are happening. And if the wife is ready for adventure, see if ya can't talk her in to riding down with you on the 650. :)

Me and my wife are thinking about it. 700 miles one way, hmm, 350 miles a day and we would be there for only 2 days. It is a bit of a hike, even if the weather co-operates.
