I have a rather ignorant question, I'd sure like to know the answer to. I have just purchased a 2008 Burgman 400 and would like to know where, if there is one, the factory model number is found on the scooter. The owner's manual shows the location of the frame and engine numbers, but no official scooter model that I see.

There should be a manufactures metal plate
right below the center glove box...above the
fuel door....usually installed with pop-rivets.

Just checked - no plate there on mine.
Are the pop-rivet holes still there ??

No holes. Just nice, clean, smooth plastic. No glue or sticky residue there, either.

My 2005 had the metal plate with the model number and other info. However, my 2011 does not. I guess Suzuki moved it someplace else on the bike but I have no idea where. :?

On my 2013 it's on the left side kind of just forward of your left knee. Just keep following the left floor board forward and up and you'll find it. It took me awhile to locate.

Yep, Boyd, that's where I found it. Thanks. I now have manufacturer proof of what I was sold. Had a bit of a problem with that in the past.

Glad you found it Oldscoot. I just saw the plate on mine on the left in front of the knee area when changing oil, so came on here to report that only to find you already found it. :D
