Sad for him if true, but good for every other road user that he was the only one affected by his own thoughtless actions. Would have been a lot sadder if others had also lost their life due to him riding under the influence.
I got word yesterday from a friend at Ft. Leonardwood, MO, that another one of our friends, who lives in San Antonio, was severely injured on his motorcycle; both legs broken, broken arms, severe head trauma - he survived, but is paralyzed and can only follow movement with his eyes. I have not been able to find the details other than what I was told but he was wearing helmet and safety gear.
