Does anyone have a suggestion as to a brand of a dressing that will bring back the deep black color of new rubber or vinyl floorboards, that is not shiny nor slippery? My DW just got a new (to her) scoot and the floor boards are kinda dirty looking even after washing and scrubbing.

Thanks, Bill...

I found an unopened box of some "as seen on tv" car care products from 1996 friday.
After chuckling at the claims I tried the vinyl, rubber, plastic restorer on the scoot.
It does look good and not too slippery and only time will tell how it lasts.
Of course it can't be found or replaced if it is a great product.
My go to product is Mothers Back in Black too.

I can tell you that last fall, on my 24 yr old Isuzu SpaceCab, I used Bondo "RESTORE BLACK" and it WORKS. Wow. Great stuff. Makes the 24 yr old plastic/rubber parts look new - the balance (below the bumper) plastic step inserts on the rear chrome bumper....awesome stuff.... And after the winter, still looks good.

 (that's two thumbs up)

Ive seen Restore Black at Wally World, at Pep Boys, and the other parts stores. Amazon sells it as well. Just be sure to use some gloves when applying it. This summer I'll put some on my '06 650.

can't really think of anything funny, also can't think why with being 71, and putting back to black on your face, you would want to look like a 24 year old tire , but hey, if it makes you

What is so good about a 71 year old body with a 24 year younger face on it?
I would rather have a 24 year younger body so maybe I will buy a case of that stuff.

Thanks to all that made suggestions for restoring black rubber/vinyl/plastic. The only product that I found locally was Mothers "Back to black". I purchased it and it restored the vinyl and plastic just like new. Is there a better product out there??? Don't know. Maybe when I run out of this product I'll try another.
Thanks again.
