Kinda sounds like my right one for the front lever that needs some lubrication (crunchy) where it rides/rubs on the master.

a lot of people use an a large O-Ring to perform that function.
Can't find the part# for the John Deer yellow washer that a lot folks use.

It is a fat yellow O-ring, Caterpiller part no. 8M 4991. There is also the Caterpillar part no. 8M 5266. Either one works - there is a slight variance in size.
