The GenMar risers: 1" up and 1 3/8" back are just what the short arm person needs. If anyone has done this on the 650 I would like to know about it. I put them on to see how it feels, sitting not rideing of course, because there is not enough brake hose or throttle cable to clear the turning radius.

This means new fitted hoses and cable. I want to do this. Please advise as to how you did it or who might make the new extensions.

Thanks as ever to a great group.

I hope someone can be more help than I, but I fear you may well need specialist help.

It would be easier if you could compromise so that a lesser (riser) solution allowed use of the standard cables and hoses.

I am no expert in this tho'.

I would try to stick to rerouting cables and hoses for a solution - but your local Suzuki dealer should be able to get you a slightly longer throttle cable assembly by comparing it to other models. Or you could just go into the showroom with a cloth tape measure and walk around the floor measuring if you want. For the brake line you can do the same thing, or order a custom length braided stainless steel line. All of the suppliers will custom order them. For the brake line you'll need to know length, bend angles at the ends, and the positions of the ends (how do the bend angles at the ends relate to each other). :)

I'm no expert at this, but I have read that there is considerable slack to be had by removing the plastics & all the cable ties (which are reusable, btw) & rerouting the cables slightly (as recommended above) you should be able to gain emough to use your risers.

Let us know how you solve this issue, please!
