I am a new Burgman 650 owner, how does the Burgman hold up on the Interstate? Is it ok to drive one as far as you desire, travelin by Interstate?

No problems other than make sure you have enough rear tire left to make the trip. Most folks get 6,000 to 8,000 from a rear tire. A few get better than that. You won't know what you get until you wear one out. The bike will handle freeway speeds and more all day long.

I get about the same mileage on the rear tire on my 400 as I get on my 650. 6 to 8 seems to be a number a lot of folks report. Some say they get even less but some say they get a lot more.

You have twice as many cylinders as I do on my 400 and also 250 more cc's.
I have no problems on the interstate roads and normally ride around 70-75 MPH to keep up with most of the traffic...!!

Greetings:
I do freeway speeds and then some on bothe my 2005 400 and the 2007 650. however the 650 is best at higher speed. Did 1200 miles two years ago in 2 days in New Mesico and Arizona, however it was the wrong time of year. You will certainly enjoy every mile.
