No problems other than make sure you have enough rear tire left to make the trip. Most folks get 6,000 to 8,000 from a rear tire. A few get better than that. You won't know what you get until you wear one out. The bike will handle freeway speeds and more all day long.

I get about the same mileage on the rear tire on my 400 as I get on my 650. 6 to 8 seems to be a number a lot of folks report. Some say they get even less but some say they get a lot more.

You have twice as many cylinders as I do on my 400 and also 250 more cc's.
I have no problems on the interstate roads and normally ride around 70-75 MPH to keep up with most of the traffic...!!

I do freeway speeds and then some on bothe my 2005 400 and the 2007 650. however the 650 is best at higher speed. Did 1200 miles two years ago in 2 days in New Mesico and Arizona, however it was the wrong time of year. You will certainly enjoy every mile.
