Just wondering on the 650 Burgman, I went out today and decided to see how just how well it ran, I put it in manual and rolled on the trottle and the tach would not go past 8000 rpm's. As soon as it hit 8000 it was like I was hitting a rev limiter or something. The bike has 700 miles on the odometer. I know service break in says 1000 miles before you do this but.........I was wondering if this is normal. I test drove a used one last fall and I don't remember having this happen. I run 93 Amoco Ultimate for gas. Thanks for any info....

Hi Ottawa Den, My service manual finally came in today and upon looking through it I found that indeed the fuel and spark shut down at 8000 rpm's. So when in manual we will just have to be quicker shifting..Hope you enjoy yours as much as I do..
