Hi All
I have just dropped in from the UK to ask you guys if you have any info about fitting a rear top box to a AN400 ZA L2?
I was thinking about keeping the passenger back rest on, like the earlier Burgmans did but all the pictures I have seen of 09+ bikes with top boxes fitted have the rear back rest removed.
Has anyone seen it done or have any info / pictures etc?
All feedback gratefully received!
Cheers
Baz ;)

but that'll likely shift more weight to the back creating a pendulum where you don't really want it

It can be done but not with the stock backrest, with the givi set, see here:

Givi Top Box :v46 (support plate: E531)
Givi Backrest:TB31

I have the exact same setup on my 2011 B400. I added the Admore lights kit, which puts the driving-, brake- and turn signal lights up high in the line of sight of the car rapidly approach you from behind.
