Yesterday I ended up accidentally knocked off the engine starter button, I can still start my Burgman 400, but it means I need to use one of my fingers to do that.

I went to the Suzuki dealer and the price they said it was, was around $120.

I saw a used 2006 engine starter switch assembly for sale and was wondering if the 2006 assembly would plug into my 2009 Burgman or if it is possible to take the starter lever or button off and put it on mine? This option is a lot cheaper which is what I would prefer to do if it is possible.

Any help would be appreciated.

The 400 changed after 2007, so you could look for 2007+ parts but not sure prior will work. However, there is an item on ebay "suzuki burgman an 400 k3 2006 06 oem right switch starter start killer off/on" that kit looks pretty much the same, and maybe those are standard ones at least the connector would be different, take a look at the 2007+ model switch compare and decide.

to disassembly you could take a look at this video tutorial:

hope this helps

Thank you fernando and JohnK for the information.

I bought the used 2006 starter switch assembly, received it last week and today I replaced it. I was able to take the swtich assembly apart and the starter switch just pops out so all I did was move that to my bike. It is so nice to have the bike "whole" again.
