Nolan recommends Plexus to clean the face shield with. Does anyone know if Plexus comes in a pump type container, since spray containers sometimes lose the gas/whatever and one can't get the rest of the product out?

Don't know if they have a spray type cleaner. I have the Plexus product and it came in a plastic bottle that is pored like liquid wax. I would personally use Johnson Pledge as it is very effective in cleaning and shinning anything on the bike without leaving any residue.

I have seen Plexus in spray cans but don't remember ever seeing it in a pump version. It's good stuff but like Ken I just use Pledge because I find it works just as well and cost a lot less.

I have had this problem too. It's not the gas that runs out it's the spray nozzle that clogs. I just switch nozzles from a new can.

When I called Nolan, I asked the person I spoke to if Pledge was ok to use and his answer was that it was NOT ok. If any of u have used Pledge for a significant amount of time and have had no problems using it, please let me know since what works well in the "real" world is all that matters to me. Thanx!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

there is a solution to that, as you finish using the product, turn the can upside down for a short time , the propellant will continue to come out, clearing the nozzle from the inside and no more clogs, how this can be accomplished on the new all angle spray paint cans I have no idea , for now I just set them down beside a sleeping cat and shoot them (the can, ) with a .22 as I know the nozzle will be clogged and the can useless next time

I keep a can of Plexus under the seat "Laying down". and another standing up in the garage. This may be the reason the nozzle got clogged. If every time you used it you turned the can upside down and hit the button I think you would run out of propellant before you ran out of liquid.

I've used Pledge on Nolan helmets and faceshields for about 6 years now with no problems at all. Most of the folks I ride with also use it. Robin uses it on her Nolan helmet too and she rides more miles than I do.
I started using Pledge on windshields and face shields back in the 70s because things like Plexus did not exist then. I've been using it ever since. I've tried the products like Plexus and Honda spray and shine and couldn't see that they worked any better and they cost more. The windshield on my 07 is a Clearview I originally had installed on my 05. It's been through 8 years and about 115,000 miles and has been cleaned with Pledge at least once a week and often multiple times a week.

Buffalo - thanx! I called the Johnson people today (makers of Pledge) and I was told that they really can't say either way whether its ok to use on helmet visors because they never tested it on them. She asked me what kind of "plastic" the visor was made out of but I didn't see any data addressing that question on the Nolen box or in the small manual that comes with it.

The reason Nolen recommends Plexus is they get a kick back from them.
Any wax product will work on face shields. I have used Turtle wax, Eagle 1, PlastX, Plexus, and Pledge\Behold with good results for years.
The one and only problem with Pledge/Behold products is they smell like citrus and may attract Bees!
I prefer the Eagle 1 as I use it on the rest of the bike and it is always handy to use on my many helmets.
