Am I doing something wrong? If I select Forum from the list on the left side of the Home page a new full size window opens with the Forum. When I select Gallery, the photos appear in the reduced size window on the Home page and I have to scroll to see the whole picture. Is there a full screen view of the Galleries?

No. You're not doing anything wrong. The gallery is set to open in a 'frame'. To open the gallery full page (assuming you're using Internet Explorer), right-click on the galley link and select 'Open in a New Window'
Another option is to open up the forums page. There are 2 links above the forums...one for Gallery and another for Home. Click the Gallery link and it'll open full page.
