Was reading on European Burgman site that on 2013 650 in normal automatic mode when CVT in OD range that OD is indicated in speedo gear indicator section, on previous model year you have to switch to manual mode to do this, can anyone with new 2013 model confirm this is same thing on North American model.

Not on mine. In auto mode only shows "D". In manual mode shows "6".

In the older model, it does use OD in Drive mode, but the only indication of it is on the rpm gauge (approximately 4500 rpm at 75 mph). It takes a light touch in the throttle to get it to drop down to OT and it will easily go back to 5th if you blip the throttle control. Which is why many just switch to manual mode and stick into OT, so it won't change.

Not sure if the 2013 will indicate OD in drive mode, but it doesn't matter because it will easily downshift to 5th just like the old model I suspect. Best to use manual mode if you want to keep it on OD.
