This looks like the perfect bike for you for parts and easy sale to those Austin college kids. The
Ahh, I was wondering why you didn’t buy it and part it out. That’s a $1000 seat and $800 in luggage not counting the ice chest with wheels.
Don’t sell now …. we’re coming into our 2nd riding season. This looks like the perfect bike for you for parts and easy sale to those Austin college kids.
I figured someone here at Burgman USA might be interested. I wouldn't mind the seat and other parts, but my 08 with 7000 miles on her is fine for a 76 year old. The work it would take to rent a trailer to go 32 miles there, 32 back, licensing, registering, all of the dismantling, dealing, selling, shipping of parts, plus other agrivation, then hauling the skeleton to a salvage yard would probably kill me. If not, the spouse would!! The above doesn't mean I wouldn't love to have it. Plus I'm lightly contemplating selling my burgie.
Well, keep enjoying yourself, certainly.I really like my Burgman. Everywhere I go there is always someone who tells me they really like my scoot. I do most basic maintenance. I hate dealerships. Had my first ever nail in a tire.(rear) I was able to ride to the dealership. The service mgr. was a real jerk. The last time I took it in for stems (in April) he was a jerk. If I do need to take it again and somewhere else, a trailer rental is needed to drop off and farther away. Also there is the difficulty of finding someone that will work on bikes that are over 10 years old. Barring something major, my scoot (08-7,000 miles and me doing only 2300 miles in 3 years ) I should be able to do many years and miles. I probably won't sell right now. However with the way of the world, no inventories, used cars and bikes are premium, the best time to buy and sell (and everything is working) is when there is no need. Sorry for the long soliloquy. Have a great day and keep the rubber down.
