As is new bike purchase time for me----next week, new Suzuki TU250, using Suzuki Promo's, etc. My Ins Cost about $10 a month for fullcoverage add on to my present bike full coverage.

Bottom appears to have fallen out of maxiscooter market and used values here----will retain my 2011 Burgman 400 as I do not want big $$ loss----unless somebody wants well set up 2011 ABS 400.

various 250's have served me well, 4 Helix, 1 ReFlex, MZ, YDS3 Yamaha, Maico Blizzard, etc---my R-27 BMW bought new '61, worst pig I ever bought----4 engines/2 transmissions first 10,000 miles----resting in ex-girlfriends cellar where it can stay.


TU250 probably only a little better performance than NSU 250 MAX or my R-27 BMW----there are a couple of luggage racks available, at least 2 National Cycle windshields/fairings available.....for me no buffeting a dream I hope.

Service, cheap, do it your self, no or little plastic to monkey with----replacement drive chain available @$15. Had Suzuki GS500E that was trouble free, put 64,000 miles on it in 15 months, WalMart oil/cheap filters---OEM chain and sprockets went 42-44,000 miles as I recall------my dealer had to have it for rich customer who wanted Yellow---I got new ReFlex out of the deal.

I guess by now you have put a few miles on that TU250. I envy you, I looked at them last year before I picked up a W650. The W650 is a nice machine but I am still wanting a TU250 for all the reasons you enumerated...but I want to keep my scooter. Keep us informed on how the little bike performs for you and what mods you may make and accessories added.
