Hi All - I am new to the forum. I am in process of finalizing a deal on a 2013 400 model. I have been working on it for awhile and the deal seems really good, almost too good. And you know what they say when.......

Brand new 2013 Burgman 400 ABS. SUZUKI's 0% interest for 5 years, price out the door is $6500+ tax, title and license. NO DESTINATION OR PREP FEE.

SO, looking at approx $7200 out the door with no money down. The next best deal I could find was on a NEW 2012 Burgman 400 that was approx $8000 out the door.

Any thoughts?;)

Deal complete!!!

Super excited about the purchase. I rode it home to Illinois from Milwaukee, Wisconsin today. Trip was about 150 total miles. Should not have been that many miles, but I was following my wife who was using the Garmin and we ended driving by Lake Geneva. A beautiful area. Sorry I did not take any photos - I am really pissed at myself for that.

Anyway, it is a real Beauty and I will be taking some pics to post for you guys tomorrow.

I bought a 2012 400 ABS with the 0% and love the bike.

My only complaint is adjusting the rear shock correctly and finding a service manual for the AN400a.

None of the forums even have the same holes in the left side of the plastic to see the setting marker for the rear shock.

Nothing on the internet either.

Any ideas?

Thanks everyone! I am having a ball riding it.

Unfortunately, I am just about ready for my 600 mile check up and I only have had it less than a week. What should I expect to pay for the valve inspection/adjustment and oil change for the 1st maintanence?

I wouldn't inspect the valves, major tear down to get valve cover off. Mines Got 7500 miles on it quiet as a whisper And there's nothing to adjust until she's tapping, some will tun 75k With no adjustment required ....Oil change though scoot!

If I change the oil myself AND do not do the valve inspection, do I risk any issues with the warranty?

Oil change easy, I assume?

Not That I'm aware of. You would lose a warranty if you did it yourself and made a mistake like rounding out threads.. A lot of recommendations are added to the book for liability purposes protecting the manufacturer Incase! Tearing off the valve cover at 600 miles is ridiculous, I dont know any Shop that would do it...I believe the instructions in the book says to check which would really mean just listen Because nobody is going to tear that engine down at 600 miles just look at nothing . I would call the dealer you bought it from And ask them what they mean by inspect? I wouldn't expect to hear any valve clearance patter on the engine for at least 50,000 And by then she'll be ready for a new valve cover gasket! On the oil change I would definitely ask them what oil you need to use To keep warranty, Because they are sticklers about people using different grades of oil As there are many people who try to go cheap and buy economy oils... Make no mistake, not all oils are created equal Manufacturers are very aware of this, And they are not going to stand behind it, And rightfully so they shouldn't. Buy a good grade oil and spend the extra couple of bucks, Especially as it only holds 1.4 qt
