is there any way that we can be informed of new pics added to the gallery and where they are?

Currently there isn't a way for us/you to tell if there are new pictures. I'm hoping that with the next Gallery upgrade there might be such a feature. The Gallery package that is installed currently is the latest version.

the only way to have a quick look is to see what the last changed date is. If someone has altered or added photos the date will show these changes.
