Well folks my wife went to the dealership and made my purchase for me. 2012 Burgman Executive. Grey in color and love the pics she sent me. She trailered the bike home and put it in the garage so it will be nice and clean til i come home. The dealership gave us a out of the door price of 7300 with a free 4 year warranty. I appreciate the sound advice and i will be on here for more DYI help and advice.

Good stuff - something to consider - if you are going with the Russell Daylong seat they need your seat shipped to them or another Exec seat ( you might be able to find one )
So if there is a wait time til you get home you could get it rolling now
removing the exec seat is fiddly but not horrid

another consideration - having owned a grey Burgman.
You are not very visible in any weather so I'd advise hIViz jackets/helmet especially rain gear

Found myself in fog and rain on a dark night and realized I was completely invisible. Grey bike, black helmet and rain gear. Grabbed a hi-Viz rain jacket the next day.
This thing does not breathe but keeps you dry -many supposedly breathable ones do not.

There's also "super black" tape that is black in daylight but, reflects shiny white. May make cool accents on the grey bike. 8)

Heck, I vote that she becomes the official Buyer Agent for us all.

Got my vote! Are the trailering and setup charges included with that? :D

Regarding the HiViz jacket, I bought just a HiViz vest (like the road crews) to wear over whatever jacket I have on. Works great. Keep it in the storage when I'm not using it so I always have it handy.
