Hello everyone,

I'm from Montreal and have just bought (2013-02-16) a 2003 Burgman 650 with 27800 km (17274 mi) on it.

I will be picking it up in April and give them my 2007 Majesty picked up from winter storage when all the snow is gone and after the april shower and road cleaning crews have removed all the sand, gravel and salt from street and road corners.

Any good advice about what I should ask the dealer to check and do on the Burgman before I pick it up.

Thank you.

Whatever else you have them do it it have them check 'THE BOLT'. With that many miles on it this check is imperative.

And welcome to the forum.
Thanks for the advice but I knew about the problem so I placed an order for that bolt and they are going to replace it free when they prepare the scoot berfore delivery.

I had been lurking on this site before making my decision to throw my hard earned money at the dealer. This dealer is in St-Jerome Qc and has a very very good reputation.

.....but you should demand that you see the state of the bolt that they remove. To be honest I would do the bolt swap yourself it is literally a five minute job.

Welcome to the forum by the way. :hello2:

Welcome to BUSA from the Heart of America-Kansas City! You can also put questions re repair of the scooter under the specific scooter, like the 650 or the 400 category. You'll get a lot more feedback than the introduction page. JC

Hello from Repentigny.

You have to check the fork and if there is any oil link. Its one of the thing to check each year. Otherwise, it is a very good machine.
Il est important de vérifier la fourche annuellement s'il n'y a pas de fuite d'huile. À part ça, c'est une machine très fiable.
