Just saw this quite pricey helmet and was intrigued!

For those of us that endure intense heat in the summer this might be a thought.
We already have mesh jackets, pants, boots, and gloves so why not helmets too?

I bought me a Fulmer Urban Pilot helmet this summer from SI MOTORSPORTS from Amber. I can wear this thing all day like a hat! Super light and airy.

I like those helmets! I got an AFX FX-50 which is similar but has a bill to help block the sun's glare that I wear when it is hot.

I read the reviews and they were mixed to put it mildly , that said I need a cooler helmet for summer .

Buy a white one. Seriously, the black ones can be several degrees hotter inside. I have identical helmets, white for summer, black for winter.

I rode home one day from work and was sweating profusely because it was triple digits. I noticed my feet were particularly hot as I was wearing black dress shoes. I thought I need to get a lighter color for when I ride in the weekends. Then I looked at my black helmet I had just purchased a month earlier and I went "duh, I'm cooking my brain", get a white one.

My wife wasn't too happy about me ordering yet another helmet. but now have one of each color and am comfortable in both winter and summer. FYI, works the same for clothing. I have silver a silver vented jacket for summer and black for winter. Makes a huge difference.

I've got white leather/mesh pants and a silver mesh jacket for summer - which, around here, lasts from March until November.

On long-distance cross-desert rides (Utah to Vegas, Vegas to Los Angeles) I discovered that light-colored gloves make a difference too.

But do you notice it's on "closeout"? Makes you wonder why?
There were two reviews on Amazon. This was one of them:

"Looks very cool (certainly to one's children) but terribly uncomfortable. Avoid!
Without doubt the most uncomfortable helmet I have ever worn - period. Looks cool but buy from somewhere where it is easy to return. Also be aware that the sizing of this helmet runs about two sizes small."

Pity. Nice looking hat too.

I've looked for white or silver gloves, and they're hard to find. Virtually everything is black. There are a few white motocross gloves, but nothing, I've seen, for street.

Anyone have a good, light colored street glove?

I've had pretty good luck with Icon gloves. They come in a wide variety of colors too.

I have fairly small hands (usually S/M in glove sizes) and I've noticed that women's gloves often work well for me too. They combine a smaller palm with longer fingers. They come in a lot of bright colors - though some combinations are better than others.
