Now that I am officially a geezer I decided to get a Florida geezer-mobile and found one that matched the Burgman. I have been wanting a rag-top for some time, found this in silver and black just like the scoot:

'98 Mercedes SL500, 33k miles one owner, new top, 5.0 L 32-valve V8, 330/347 HP/lb-ft (vs 295/325 for the 'stang) w/a 5-speed slushbox. fast, Fast, FAST; the speed limiter is set at 250 kph, 155 mph!

Traded my '03 Mustang GT with110k and some cash.

I saw one that looked much like this on the freeway the other day. Across 5 lanes of traffic, it stood out as one classy automobile. I could only think, "Wow..."

Congratulations on the new car, CliffyK. Will you still go to the Mustang rallies though?

I am checking a number of them out, BenzWorld.com seems to be one of the better utilised.

Re the chevrons: I raced in team events many years ago and the hash stripes let the pit crews and observers know which car was which--after all these years it has just "stuck" and a vehicle isn't yet mine without them...

with of course a white Bell helmet to complete the rather mundane but durable 2009 ensemble.
