Replaced my battery today. 2005 400. Not sure it needed replacing but I did it anyway. I totally killed the old battery by leaving the ignition on on while the **** side stand was down a few months ago. Not a problem anymore, I removed the side stand switch and wired the two wires together. I kept the switch in case I sell it, I can donate it to the new owner. What was really weird was when I turned the ignition on the first time the RPM and Speedometer needles ran up half way and then came back down to zero. I put it on a battery tender and turned on the ignition again and they did not move (normal to me). Everything seems fine, its sitting in the garage on the battery tender getting normal. That was weird with the needles though and haven't moved again. Anybody seen their needles moving on a 2005 400?
