I bought a 2005 400 about a month ago. I noticed the bikes all seem to have a plate on the muffler with the name "BURGMAN" on it. My bike doesn't have this. Is that plate an accessory, or am I missing the plate that came from the factory?

My 2012 didn't have anything on it, but I spotted a "Limited Edition" emblem at Walmart for a couple bucks so I slapped that on it.

There is no script or logo on the stock heat shield, it is something owners have added.

In my case the previous owner had debadged the bike and given me the badges--I liked the look and placed one of the Burgman script emblems on that bare spot on the heat shield; the other one is on a shelf someplace around here...

My 2005 400 came with no badging on the exhaust heat shield.
I did sand and repaint it as it was scuffed from the previous owner.
I have thought of putting a "Skywave" Badge there.

I purchased a 'Suzuki' decal and put it on.

I sprayed my heat shield and muffler tip with black matte Plasti Dip.

i must say, that plasti dip came out quite well. I tried to spray my inside dash and the other plastic where you sit, and from my foot rubbing, it never worked out
