Why is the idle so high its eating gas like crazy like the throttle is stuck how can I fix this problem

Does it stay high when the bike is warmed up or just on start up? If when warmed up your TPS may need to be reset. May also be sticking throttle cable. Check it first. Have you done anything to the bike recently they may have moved the throttle cable? Of course if it is high on start up then drops as the bike warms up it's meant to. One assumes it is after the bike is warmed up.

I had a problem with idle. Code said it was the ISC. I recalibrated the STVA sensor and another recalibration I forget at the moment. You do those using the "Dealer" plug under the dash. Checked ISC for crud and leaks.
If you have no mechanical problems, try those.
After I unplugged the battery for an hour, then rode it several miles, it seems better. No more codes shown nor FI light.
But the idle creeps up to 2000 when it's hot. I'll live with it. My gas mileage dropped but I haven't done steady cruises for a while, just around-town errands.
