In the science of things, if anyone has a broken CVT maybe we can have it sent to me and I will do my best to cobble up a repair. In the future any Burgman 650 owner will need a CVT rebuild.

To buy one rebuilt by that Italy group, with shipping the rebuilt unit to you and then you must send back a rebuildable core or loose your core deposit, is one hack of a lot of money.

what causes that not able to shift?
very curious didn't know the CVT is the gearbox.
aren't they 2 separate things?
Could be electrical or a mechanical problem. The CVT is two variable pulleys that perform the same function as shifting gears but variable between the lowest ratio and the highest.

thank you
so you mean cvt could be fine and he may be just giving up on it?
Not fine. A bad sensor or mechanical part in the CVT. No shifting could also have been the centerstand switch. More than likely it was something internal in the CVT.

What is the cause of all problems in human society?

It is the human ego, i.e., the innate calculative mechanism in human nature that prioritizes self-benefit over benefiting others, which makes society’s
bringing on the downfall of the entire organism of human society.

this breaks my heart guys .the same goes here
in Australia beef, chickens get dumped its a crime in my book

If the bearing is bad likely the primary pulley shaft is bad also.

update
got what I need for a good price
with bad communication from the seller side.
finally worked out, 5 days of waiting hopefully primary is good.
somehow just don't trust the seller LOL.
I'm looking at the damaged bearing and what if there's no inner bearing ROFL🤣🤣
I heated the ring and tried to move the center ring nothing
will not move, also I tried with a deep socket of the same size ring and hit it with a hammer while the ring is hot, and no way will no move at all, however, managed to break my vice in the process you would think the ring would move a little.
I have heated up a car bearing in the past that was seized and managed to move it🙄

So, cut the bearing in half and found solid steel spacer? No second bearing?

I think you already knew that.
so much for the 30 years of transmission experience.
I could have just bought a bushing for 60 bucks
but no I have to listen to the so-called experts.
well to late now bought the complete primary.
why do I trust people?

Any pictures of the sliced bearing?
I believe education comes at a cost.
I know I paid enough.
I'm going to be like old scooterman .
had to waste many hours grinding discs and taking pictures takes time.
tell you what if you can make a short video of your self-walking dog singing out loud an abba song I'll take pictures
