do you have the link to the Italian group? In the science of things, if anyone has a broken CVT maybe we can have it sent to me and I will do my best to cobble up a repair. In the future any Burgman 650 owner will need a CVT rebuild.
To buy one rebuilt by that Italy group, with shipping the rebuilt unit to you and then you must send back a rebuildable core or loose your core deposit, is one hack of a lot of money.
what causes that not able to shift?I believe the cvt is toast as it wouldn't shift in manual or automatic. I do still have it. Would love to get rid of it to someone that can use it instead of junking it.
Could be electrical or a mechanical problem. The CVT is two variable pulleys that perform the same function as shifting gears but variable between the lowest ratio and the highest.what causes that not able to shift?
very curious didn't know the CVT is the gearbox.
aren't they 2 separate things?
thank youCould be electrical or a mechanical problem. The CVT is two variable pulleys that perform the same function as shifting gears but variable between the lowest ratio and the highest.
Not fine. A bad sensor or mechanical part in the CVT. No shifting could also have been the centerstand switch. More than likely it was something internal in the CVT.thank you
so you mean cvt could be fine and he may be just giving up on it?
They only sell complete CVT's and some of the sliding pins. WWW.protobikeVR.itDo you have the link to the Italian group? They might just have the bearing i need
the primary bearing could be faulty ROFLNot fine. A bad sensor or mechanical part in the CVT. No shifting could also have been the centerstand switch. More than likely it was something internal in the CVT.
If the bearing is bad likely the primary pulley shaft is bad also.the primary bearing could be faulty ROFL
that's it my bike going for sale
all I'm doing is wasting my time.

So, cut the bearing in half and found solid steel spacer? No second bearing?Next step, I got the grinder out and cut the bearing in half. Guess what I found out?
