I'd like to get a scoot-mounted garage remote for my 400. Anyone have any experience with these? As it is now, I have to fumble around for my remote in the glove box...
I haven't seen that kind.

I had a Genie garage door opener that included a control that could be wired into the "Flash-to-Pass" switch on a car; I assume that would work on my 650 as well, but I don't have a garage anymore (it's been converted into my brother's and sister-in-law's apartment now. )

Yeah, that's apparently how this one works. It's cool -- but probably beyond my install expertise. :(

I just went to Lowe's and bought a small transmitter that seconds as a key chain for around $25.00. Works great and hangs from the ignition on the key.
Thanks for the tip. I think I might just get one of these as well:

If the motofx control is anything like my Genie, it's a breeze to install. Cut one highbeam lead, insert the control's wires into the break (didn't matter what polarity), twist wires and cover with electricians' tape, done.

I just put mine in the left upper glove box on my 650 and there it has stayed :) . It never seems to move and when I want to open or close the garage I just put my hand in and push the button.

Mine os a 1974 vintage Sears  so it may be a bit bigger than newer ones. It used to have a clip, but my one and only attempt to connect it to a sun visor broke it off.

When my Bike Barn arrives (http://www.thebikebarn.net), and is assembled, I'll put it back in the car in the hopes that we someday get the garage cleared out enough to put the car in.
