I need to re-read it, but my initial take is this is a positive review. Unfortunately, the reviewer had no prior experience on the 650, so he couldn't make first-hand comparisons with pre-2013 models. The reviewer rode most of his 300 mile test run in power mode, and then complained about the poor gas mileage . His biggest negative was sticker shock - hard to argue with that.

Ugh that must have been uncomfortable in power mode but then someone mentioned less aggressive engine braking on the 2013 so must be true. I'll have a read.

Positive review but not very thorough. Things like complaining about the windscreen height without mentioning the rider must be at least over 6' as I'm 5'9" and the screen at the top is well above my eye level.

Running it all the time in Power mode of course it's not going to get mileage - like running a manual tranny in 4th all the time and ignoring 5th and 6th.

I doubt that review would pass muster in Europe and not a mention I could see on upfront storage.
You'd think these mags could get better help.
