I believe a better solution is the one used by Kawasaki on its Voyager 1200/1300 range of motorcycles since 1984. Effectively it is a two stage centrestand. The first stage rolls the bike forward and on to the stand legs. The second stage raises, and supports, the bike with minimal effort.
