Macho Harley Riders NOT

As I was leaving the gym locker room today this guy I know was coming in. He rides a 1450 HARLEY. I asked him if he was riding today. He said it was too cold. He wasn't kidding either. The temp at the time was about 60F.

Some people are just cold natured. At least he wassn't going the opposite direction and trying to ride in a blizard. :)
OK. I try to refrain from Harley bashing. But I have noticed something. If I take off on a morning ride when it is cool outside, there are very few annoying bugs messing up my windscreen or faceshield. There are also very few Harleys on the road. If I am still riding as it approaches noon and the outside temperature climbs, there is a point where the bugs and the Harleys seem to appear - at roughly the same temperature.
Don't think it has anything to do with the temp. Most of the local Harley riders have their bikes lined up at the local bar until it closes at 2 am. They're probably not awake until close to noon. :D

I won't totally discount the bar thing - but, considering how the Harley dudes and babes are dressed, temp definitely matters. And I don't think all the bugs were out drinking too. Well... maybe a few bar flies...

So that blows the theory that the bugs are following the HD riders.

Just the flies.

Don
Cold

Our temps were the highest of the year the first of Sept., now they've
dropped to the low 50s . It's the quick change out here that makes
it feel colder than it really is.

I was contemplating bringing out my foot thick, electrically heated
winter coat. Naw... not yet.

Maybe it is the other way around. :D

You mean there's actually a difference?
I hope this has not already been posted, but I thought you'd get a kick out of seeing some guys on cruisers in the mountains of North Carolina.

Russel the piccies were only surpassed by the discussion it generated!

Thanks for that! :)
Huh! Awesome pictures. Those cruiser bikes are kinda engineered to go straight. But you can get them to go around a curve if you have some rider skills. I'm not sure how that dude managed to get so far leaned over and not turn. It looks like his front wheel is cocked into the turn rather than slightly in the opposite direction. A reverse countersteer, negating the lean?. Tryin to "steer" it around the curve like he'd do with his pickup truck... Egads!
Bad timing on my part...the domain is not avaialble. Can't view the pics. :(

same applies here.
I think they may have pulled it on bandwith consumption grounds!
Earlier the whole domain was not available. Now just the forums on that site are down.
I was able to access the link at this time. You may want to try again.
