Discovered yesterday that high beams not working on my 2006 Burgman 400. Right side,(looking forward from seat), worked earlier in day then both quit working. I have low beams, AND all others lights, gauges etc.,.... pushed passing lights switch .... high beams do not come on.

From reading multiple posts I understand it .... Could be:

1- high beams burned out
2- high/low beam switch
3- fuse
4- starter switch
5-??

Where should I start? Electrical stuff is not my skill set:(

Thanks-Sirkitrider

Bulb burn outs are common on the pre-07s. There is a fix on BUSA, but I do not remember what it is. Try a search or maybe someone else can remember it and post it.

Hmmm, I had both low beams go out this past weekend. I already checked the fuse, light & starter switches. So is it probably the bulbs being an 05 and all?

I would agree, most likely the bulbs. Especially since you said one went out then the other. If it were a fuse or switch problem both would have quit at the same time.

If you have a test lamp or volt meter pull the plug loose from the light and see if you have current at the plug. If so then it is pretty certain it is the bulbs.

Same thing happened to me, both high beams went out at the same time. Low beams continued to function. A quick bulb change corrected the problem.
