Good Day : To whom it may concern.
I received an email from Greengoose stating -- payment for my
subscription for one year Gold renews each year @ $20.00. They said they
had a problem collecting on April 25/13 due to a problem with my credit
card and they will try again on April 28/13, then said they will inform
Bryan McFalls. The problem is, I bought the (Lifetime Membership) April
12/2009 -- I hope ( lifetime) doesn't mean only 4 years. Could someone
please Email back to me and tell me this was just a mistake and that it
will be cleaned up and shouldn't happen again.

Just a thought ! Could a scam artist have done this, trying to get my
credit card number.

I sent a copy of this letter out on a blank post with no name, so I don' know who might have received it , so I thought I would post here to see if anyone else has had a similar notification. :?: :D

As far as I know, membership payment/levels ceased when BUSA was sold by Bryan McFalls AKA greengose to someone else - I dont think you can even buy membership anymore. I had a similar notice a while ago and just ignored it. I think to be on the safe side, I cancelled my subscription via paypal. I only paid for one years subscription which has expired by now but it still shows me as a gold member. I would imagine the same would apply to you.

Thank you: Steve D UK --- I haven't seen anywhere on site that Bryan or Dwayne has told everyone that there lifetime membership has been dissolved and if it was, shouldn't they have told us and given us more details, then let us decide if we wish to start paying again, not to just go ahead and try to extract payments with us not knowing or expecting it.
I would like to here from other members on this subject.

Greengoose aka Brian has sold the forum and membership fees are no longer needed as the forum is now corporate sponsored. :?
Cancel any auto payment you have and don't pay anything more. They are making enough already on the ads they have added to this site.

Good Day Scootereno : Thanks for your information ,however, how do we explain that if there is no longer need for fees, then , why on April 25 th and 28 th did they try to withdrall fees from my paypal acc.with no knowlege on my part. after all,I stlll claim to be a lifetime member. I somehow am getting mixed messages up to date. I still appreciate the input. Please keep them comming till we find the right reasoning. I did send a- private message to Greengoose, however I have no way of knowing if he received it as no reply to date.
My inquireing mind wants to know..

Go into your user control panel and click on messages. If your message is still shown in your outbox, he has not picked it up. If it is no longer in your outbox then he received the message.

Anything is possible, however, I received another email stating they will try again on May 3/13
to retreave it. My problem is that I was never informed this new age payment was going to happen. On the return email from Greengoose I sent my inital message again ,with a little extra. All I want to know is, what is going on ?

I think you missed the point slightly. Greengoose Sold the forum so why would you contact him at all?
I think contacting the new owners (motorcycle.com) would be more appropriate for getting results and answers.

Good Day: First things first --- Has anyone else received an email from Greengoose about voiding your Lifetime membership. I get that the site was taken over by Dwayne, however I keep getting emails from Greengoose.
Now that they have tried to extract the $20.00 fee for the 3rd and final time , they said my subscription has been cancelled. Keep in mind all my emails have been from Greengoose, so all the messages I sent back went to Greengoose , supposedly.
I have tried to contact Dwayn like you said (Scootereno )at Motorcycle.com but only come up with Honda bikes and motocross and so on. If anyone has a direct email for Dwayn please inform me of it . From reading my last emai from
Greengoose it may be too late anyways.----- For me this transfer of comand has been very surprising at the least, for I could find no warning of what was taking place (money wise). with no contact from our leaders after 3 email's and not many others saying they lost there Lifetime membership and now must revert back to the old regular fees.
What is one to beleave. Would I get more of a responce if I picked another site to than the tavern to ask these questions. I've had a few different answers and I fully apreciate them, but , they just dont quite hit the nail on the head.
If I've been kicked out for something I wouldn't do untill I could get some answers to all of my easy questions, well it's been nice knowing all of you. .. Best I can say is : Thanks , Be safe --happy riding -- :? :thumbup: :D :D :D

It sounds like something has been hacked or compromised. To my knowledge, Brian has been an honest and upright man and I don't think he would be involved in something like you have described. I checked when he was on BUSA last and it was August of 2012. If he was getting a private message he would have had to been on the site recently. It sounds like you may be the victim of some kind of scam by a hacker.

Some people loose there, idenity, money and more. This scam artist tried to scr%# ,with my money and faith in the system.
Somehow ,I hoped that conversing with my fellow Burgmennites this mystery would unfold and now that I should be able to contact Dwayn , I am sure it will.
I surley appreciate everyone's help with my delema and who knows maby my subs. hasen't been cancelled after all.
I for one haven't been able to grasp all the changes that are going to take place with the changing of the owners,monetary and others. I will email Dwayn tonight and upon his explanation, will soothe my enquireing mind.
I will post back when I have herd from him.

I'm a moderator and not an admin or owner, so my opinion in this matter, is just like yours. In other words, I have no special insight on this matter.

I know of no benefit anyone receives from being a Lifetime member. I would cancel any payments you have set up for the forum. As others have said, Greengoose has nothing to do with the forum anymore. He sold it, and frankly from what I could tell hadn't been active for years before that. He got it going though and was active in the beginning when he had a Burgman. But as life changes for each of us, he sold the Burgman and got involved with other issues in his life. As Scootereno mentioned, he hasn't logged on for almost a year now.

Motorcycle.com are the new owners. They get their revenue from the advertising you see unless you have an ad blocker installed in your Internet browser. When Motorcycle.com bought the forum, I tried to get some things corrected. For instance, the membership link. For months, it still went to the old links for you to pay for different levels of membership. However, nothing had been defined for those levels of membership and the money you paid to do so. It took several messages and weeks before Dwayne finally did something...and only when I pointed out that unless the new owners actually defined what you'd get for your money that was different from being a free non-paying member...they could get sued for false advertising.

Unless something changes, from what I see...whether you pay money each year or not, you are still a "lifetime" member. You just don't get the designation under your screen name and info.

We do not take money out of anyones account. Paypals does for recurring payment.

If there was a recurring payment to us it would say it was being payed to us not anyone else.

I would advise to cancel subscriptions that are going elsewhere.
