Howdy, joined forum a while back when I thought I was getting one but it fell through, been on a V Strom and 35 year old goldwing since.

Made a deal on a 2009 650 last night with 2400 miles.
Cant wait to get it home and ride it!

Whats the first thing I should do besides oil and air in the tires?
I am ready to put some miles on this baby!

BTW GW and Strom are for sale if interested. Both are awesome bikes in there class.

congratulations on your new ride. I think, with only 2400 miles on the machine, changing the oil and checking the tires should be all this is necessary for your piece of mind. Could you give us some idea as to the "deal" as I am looking for a second used burgman 650 to ride.
The burgman is the best ride I have ever owned (30,000+ miles) which includes my BMW boxer that I sold.
respectfully,
David Miller

I would also consider replacing the brake fluid...
it tends to attract moisture, & can result in a
'spongy' feeling in the brake levers.
Factory recommendation...replace brake fluid
every 2 years...

:(Thanks for replies.
However, as shown in another thread I have already screwed up the transmission.
