11 degrees Farenhiet, nice sunny morning, 2" ice on the pond, 2 miles to the gas station. The last fill up for the season, suprisingly not to bad, only got cold on my chin (3/4 helmet no face shield). Put in the fuel stabilizer at the station , drive 2 miles home, took out the battery and went in for some hot coffee. Till next season.

Sucks doesnt it Jim, having to put it away for several months. I stored mine a little differently as you can see by the picture. Gives me time to work on it. Plans are a backrest, topcase, saddlebags and radio installation. I've just finished putting pinstripping and flames on it  . There were done after the picture was taken. I'll see if I can update the photo at a later date.

I cant wait untill spring and the riding weather returns.

Cold Weather Riding

I've put the V-Strom away, but I'm still getting out on the Burgman 650 occasionally. I intend to ride it until we get snow. Rode it to a breakfast meeting of the Nebraska Motorcycle Riders Saturday morning, 18 miles, temp was 19 degrees! Had on long johns, Widder electric vest & electric gloves, my HJC Jacket with liner and my HJC full face helmet. Not too bad, except my chin got pretty cold. It had warmed up to about 24 degrees for the ride home. I ordered a neck gaiter from Amazon when I got home - that should take care of the cold chin. The scooter ran fine in the cold temps. The rides are getting shorter, but I'm still enjoying it. Bonus - no bugs to wipe off of the windscreen when I get home!
It's Back

It's back on the road. Took it out of hibernation, 40 degrees F, warm enough for me, and feels great.
Mines coming out on Saturday. It's suppose to be around 44* here. Fingers are crossed.

Go on Doug rub it in..RUB IT in....... :p I Finally got mine out last Thursday for a ride. Also rode it on Saturday to a Pancake breakfast group ride. It's been parked ever since due to Temps of 34-38 degrees and constant rain. Forecast is for rain for the next 5 days as well mixed with wet snow. If this keeps up I may have to trade the Burger in for a boat!
Hey Allwalk, you dont want a boat, i got one and have to work on it no time for Burg until work is done, Great weather here last 4 days, we are getting your rain for the next 4 days
