Well I won't be riding for a while. Fell and cracked my femur in two places. Can't get on the bikes until it heals. For now they have me in an immobilizer knee brace. Have to go back for an MRI to see if they will need to do surgery on the knee or put a plate on the bone. Probably 6 weeks to 2 months down time.

Hope you heal quickly and without further issues. A broken leg is bad enough without any further complications. Keep us posted. You may have to wait until March to reach that 100K milestone. :(

Thanks for all the well wishes folks. Still nothing more to report. Looks like it will just be a wait for the bone to heal. I go in next week to get a scan done on the knee to make sure there is no damage to the cartilage that will have to be cleaned up.

I wouldn't mind doing that but with the leg brace they have on me I can't bend my knee so my foot would be dragging on the ground.

Yeah!! i waited for it to come off as well, There's No chance of riding the a Straight Leg, when you get permission to bend it you can try that. But if you have a car Cool, i did not have a back up Vehicle So just hopped on the scoot and drove, It was scary at first ,But got over it.

you don't want to wait to long Buffalo, to hop back on the saddle, you will feel like your first ride.

I rode with a cast on my left foot. I was warned by others (non riders and riders alike) that I would be at fault, if I had an accident. My Doctor would have cringed, had he known.

It felt more comforatable to ride with the cast on the Burgman then it did to drvie a car.

I don't know if there really would have been liability on my part for riding with a cast, I just couldn't not ride. :)
