You can check the breaks by looking under them ,Most of the time you won't here any thing if the breaks are failing or Low ,Most of the time ,I waited a little to long to do mines and had Deep scrapes on the Rotors, No Problem you just need a Flat Palm Sander ,Do both Sides of the Rotors, This is suppose to be done anyway Prior to installing Break Pads,Only if the Surface is uneven.jskzes said:I recently noticed that when I move (seated or standing) my bike without it running I hear a slight friction sound coming from my front brake and rotor. Is this normal or does it mean its time for a pad change? The bike only has a lil over 4500 miles on it. Again, it don't sound bad just a slight metal on metal sound.
in some cases, May need Cleaning.
