Cool name. Unicorn. Suzuki probably would have called it a Bratwurst.
Nawww ... that's Suzuki's internal name for that Honda bike. :p

The truth is...

The truth is, we're just on the edge of the Chinese launching a raft
of $450 motorcycles. The Japanese are shaking in their boots.

The cost of bikes now has most kids choosing used cars.

I can remember my first Honda costing $375.

It's a good thing though. The cheaper machines will happen just
as the US gas jumps another dollar a gallon. We'll see a new
generation of riders.

It seems most of the riders in Cal are getting older and greyer.

That's exactly how Japan started in the US market. The launched a slew of inexpensive bikes, built a user base, and have been progressively going for the higher end of the market. I don't remember where I read it, but one site indicated that the Chinese didn't seem that interested in using the same tactic on the US in respect to the new low cost bikes and that we may only see them here in limited numbers.

I doubt we'll ever see it here in the USA. Or if we do, it'll be priced MUCH higher. But wouldn't it be great to have these available here for under $1150???

Yes that would be great!

What would not is the corresponding wage, as this is internal market (to India) pricing. If they ship to the West, they will still be 'cheap' but priced according to our respective markets - I guess.
