I just bought a 05 650 burgman, 12,200 km, in mint condition, engin is very quiet, got it for a really good price.
Does the ignition switch have to be changed on the 05, or were they ok for that year.
I sold my 06 with the Trinity trike kit on it, I now have my old Danson kit with my custom body to put on the 05, then hope to sell it, as I don't ride any more, just lost interest and too many crazy drivers on the roads with lots of bike accidents every week end here.

For those that have not seen the body I will be putting on the 05, there are lots in both the galleries.
I will be using progressive air shocks for the trike , also Corbin short seat with 2 back rests and my fiberglass center console, and new dark side tire as I bough 2 at the time, every thing else is stock.
The only damage to the 650 was a broken turn light glass when the owner bumped the door getting it out.
It is quiter than my 04 and 06 was.

Wayne, the big failure on any years switch is when you put too much electrical load on the power plugs wiring, like running fog lights off of the wiring under the dash box. Lot of people have run extra stuff using the power plug's "Switched" wires. The contact points in the ign switch is not rated for hi amperage. Thats what a 30/40 amp relay is made for. You can get them in bulk from Amazon or Ebay for like $2 each with a plug and wiring.
