Instead of "New Member" for those under 50 posts. Call it what? Baby Scoot? Scooter newbie?
I need 5 titles from 1-50,51-100,101-250,251-500, 501+

Any ideas?

Bryan,

I'd keep it related to what it is - number of posts. Terms like "newbie" can be kind of demeaning to a person that has logged thousands (maybe even hundreds of thosands) of miles on two wheels. Doesn't matter that they have just joined this site. It would be good to steer clear of and "rookie" connotations.

Posting level 1 (2,3,4,5) would do the trick. Or make all levels simply say "Member". Not cute, but won't ruffle any feathers either...

My suggestion would to drop the label. The number of posts does not reflect if a person is a "new" member. I do not see a reason to define a member's status.

Its part of the Fourm foundation. Basically defines how many times a person has posted. Maybe inspires a person to post more to get a higher title. I was just trying to personalize the posting ranks.

3. Vecstar 150[/*:m:1msg8jba]
4. Skywave 400[/*:m:1msg8jba]
5. Burgman 650[/*:m:1msg8jba]

Except for the Burgman moniker, these are all the names of Suzuki scooters in Japan. The number is their dispacement, which lines up well with the ranges you gave for titles on the Forum. The Skywave and the Burgman are the same model line, so it works well to differentiate the 400 and 650 on such a list.

What do you think, too esoteric?

1-50 - Active lurker
51-100 - Post-lurker
101-250 - Getting chatty
251-500 - Too much free time
501+ - Forum robot
