My wife and I have over 700 miles on the Burgman 650 in about 6 weeks of riding. Almost all of it two up. May need to go to a Corbin or one of Cary's seats for long distance comfort. The jury is not in yet on that. I am trying my Beadrider on the bike now and have my Alaska Sheepskin (my son calls it my sheep butt) on standby. I also have an air cushion on hand to try as well (used it on another motorcycle I owned in the past with great success). But the bike is a keeper. Awaiting adapter plates to mount my hard luggage to the bike. Did all of you know that Bestem makes and sells an adapter plate for a tail box on the Burgman 650 (there is one for the 400 as well). I say that for those of us who want to mount one of their boxes and don't have the ability to use Ledude's template and instructions for making our own. Mine is supposed to be in via UPS tomorrow. Looks like it may take a month to get my Givi mount racks from Austria though. We will see.

I like this bike!

Awesome and Congrats! Nothing better than a couple that rides together.
If you go with Cary for the seat be sure to tell him you want the pillion seat foam. Most don't use/need it done so he would need a heads-up. His seats are comfy and priced very fair imho.
I use a full sheepskin covering the whole seat year round and love it as does the wife and daughter when they ride pillion. I have used the bead riders in the extreme heat and like the "air conditioned" feel but my boney butt can only take it so long without my padded compression shorts. Padded/Protective compression shorts can help with comfort too. I have a pair of Alpinstars that I do like for long or hot weather riding.
Hope you and your wife find your comfort level and keep enjoying that Burgman Grin. :D

Yes, I like my BeadRiders. They give me a breeze during the summer under my butt. They are also good for when it is raining. Keeps me from sitting in a puddle.
