I am getting messages about my whereabouts so I thought I had better let ya'all (that is one word here in the south, you northerners mostly say "you all" or something like that) know that I am alive and able to see the screen of my computer again.

After a break to have cataract surgery and an unplanned tooth removal I am back for a little while. The surgery went wonderfully, I now have 20/30 vision out of my right eye. Couldn't have the second eye done as planned as I discovered that I had broke a eye tooth on my upper left side. It had a big filling in it and a cap and I must have lost the cap at some point. Bit into something and pow, blew the whole side of the tooth out. Had the tooth pulled that day. Still sore now as I ended up with a dry socket (hurts!). Is getting better now though. I have my next eye surgery scheduled for the 13th of this month. In between, I am (hopefully) going on a four day motorcycle camping trip. So, I will be here on and off for the next couple of weeks.

Glad to be back,
Doug in Kentucky

Man that like adding insult to injury, hope you get well soon :p

When i moved to the south ( well we were in the south actually if you consider Florida the south) So we actually moved north to get to the south:confused:

Anyway here in North Cackalacky , I was told that when referring to more than two people" Ya'all " the proper word is "AllYa'All" ( that's one word );)

PS: will the last yankee leaving Florida please turn off the light :cyclopsani:

Hey there, I moved to Kentucky from North Cackalacky. Lived out on the coast, Jacksonville. I liked it pretty good there, but the job I was offered and couldn't turn down was here in Kentucky. Worked out pretty good for me as I met my wife here in Kentucky, we have been married now for 33 years. Still in love. She spoils me rotten.

If ever I leave Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee are the states I expect I will go to.

Man, I though Doug was going to say "If I move from Kentucky it will be up to Washington where it never rains"

Glad you are recovering. See, break an Eye tooth and lose your vision. I sharpened mine so I could have sharper vision. Now if we only had ear teeth or memory teeth, :sleepy2: huh, oh the time is 5:25 PM what were we talking about?

I would take a couple of those memory teeth. As to the ear teeth, I will take a pass. It is too convienent for me to tell my wife, "I didn't hear you".

It is strange. I actually understood that.

I had my left eye done this past Tuesday (5 days ago). I now have 20/20 vision. It is the first time in my life I have had vision this clear. Wonderful! Eyes are doing great after this surgery. Yes, I would do it again if I had it to do over. Can start riding my Burgman again on this coming Tuesday (the doc wanted me to avoid lifting it off the sidestand for a week).

geez no problem , just have the wifey follow you in the car and when you are ready to park, ,,,,, then when it's time to go she can take it down again and follow you to the next spot, have her pack a lunch so you don't run in to any inconvenient waits

seriously, glad things went well, it's great to be able to see again ,

Heh Mikey, you don't know my wife. If I was to suggest something like what you described, I would be off the bike for several more weeks while I healed.
