I accidently broke the 4k mark before 500 miles

Last night I was driving to Nellis AFB for a midnght shift. I was in the far right lane of 3 lanes. Ahead it merges to 2 lanes. To the left of me was an older "red neck" pickup truck. Light turns green and I pop it up to 4k rpm and hold it. The truck barks its tires and is determined to not let me scoot out ahead of him. So I pop the power button and crank the handle. Whoosh....7k rpm and 87mph on a 45 mph road. I turned left into the next lane. So he comes up next to me at the next light with window down. He yells "What the #$%@# was that. That aint no scooter! What the hell you got under the hood?" So I told him. he replies. "Thats pretty **** tight..You blew me away back there. Cool Dude".

Bad Bad Bad me....I broke the break-in rules! Was it worth it? I think so.

Harley riders spot UFO's in SA Missouri!

After following a group of Harley riders for a few miles through the Ozarks, I decided to pass them when the road allowed. I was on my Burgman 650 and my Son was on His Atlantic 500. We put the "pedal to the metal" when we got the first opportunity and we quickly passed them at about 95 mph! You should have seen the look on their faces when they saw the two "Unidentified flying objects" pass their antiques. When we pulled in for gas a few miles later they pulled in behind us to fuel up too. Everyone of them walked over to look at our SUPER scooters and asked questions for the next five minutes. It was a definite paradigm shift in their realities that day. The scooters were only above break in RPM's for a very short time, so it didn't harm anything but the Harley crowds EGOS.

Break in? Whats that? I had my BK at 85mph on the way home from the dealer. I've driven it over a 100 a couple of times before the 600 mile service. OOPs, what I meant to say was I never ever rev it over 4K. 8)
According to one seemingly knowledgable theory, you did your engine some real good... just what was needed... to help seat the rings.
