I saw one of the post pictures of a hump bag, and thought that would come in handy, especially with the map pocket on top. (We have a lot of ride leaders in our GWRRA chapter that tend to get us lost taking the wrong road. ha ha) :dontknow: Now I will be able to give THEM directions!! :thumbright:

Also I am experiementing on a windshield cover. I used the iron-on letters for the lettering, and printed the logo onto the iron-on transfer paper you use with a color printer. I'm not sure yet what I will do with the back portion of the fabric. I like that it covers the mirrors, dash and handlebars. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I posted the pictures in the gallery. Here is the link....

I use a hump bag when I tour, and have found it to be handy. When I'm not touring, I stash it in the tail section of the underseat trunk with a bunch of emergency gear in it - keeps that stuff from sliding all around in the trunk.

I've never seen a cover like that before. On the back portion of the fabric that covers the windscreen, you might consider using a soft material that would prevent scratching. Many good motorcycle covers put a kind of soft fleece lining there.

I used a heavy weight sweatshirt type fabric. The underside is plush, and softer than a baby blanket. I plan on scotchguarding the outside, I don't know how much waterproof protection that will provide, but it will keep the sun off the shield and the dash.

I remember hearing about a couple of incidents where the sun actually melted the top of a motorcycle dash. Apparently, the windshield acted as a magnifying glass... Probably not a bad idea to have a cover like that. Waterproofing isn't as big a concern, unless you are covering the entire scooter.

I had a funny thought. If you ever end up parked in the middle of a bunch of Black Burgman 650's - you'll be able to quickly tell which one is yours...
Not so likely to happen just yet with a Burgman, but I drive a White Ford Taurus. Walk out of a Walmart, and you'll see maybe thirty of them. A couple of times I have pressed the "trunk" button on my key remote to see which one the trunk popped up on... :)

It is a thermometer, that's all. We had installed one of the J&M CB2003 and had attached it to the top of the brake resevoir, but the radio didn't transmit. I could hear, but no one could hear me when I talked. All the husbands in the Gold Wing group didn't see why we needed to try to fix this little problem. They wished their wives couldn't transmit either. ha ha  We returned it to J&M last week. They are going to fix it, or replace it.
