Hi everybody. Steve from Houston, Tx here.

I have just recently purchased a 2007 Burgman 650 Exec. It was the color that sold me...

After a few bad dismounts from my last ride I took a few years off of riding to let everything heal. (I actually made the traffic report on the last one as I apparently slowed the morning commute on my side of town) I tried a convertible to compensate and it didn't work. I was actually heading to a dealership to purchase a Wrangler when I realized everything was just a substitution for riding. I was only 5 minutes from the dealership when I turned around and headed across town to start looking at bikes.

After trips to two dealerships I still hadn't the "just right" bike - light enough to reacquaint myself with riding and big enough to fit me. On a fluke I spotted a burgman. I wasn't thinking about a scooter at the time but the test ride sold me.

I look forward to riding more and reading all the great advice on this site.

I convinced a coworker to take the BRC in two weeks since he has never ridden - I'm taking it with him as a refresher. I figure I have probably forgotten more of what they taught me than I want to admit. Now we'll just see if I can fit onto one of those little 250s....

Welcome to BUSA and greetings for Los Angeles.

Good choice on the bike. MC riders often don't think about scooters because of the reputation... Until they ride one. It's quite eye opening. You're gonna live it!

I did notice that the red body work costs more - probably since it wasn't used a lot.
When I was working at a body shop (and my brother still has one), the red colors were much more expensive than many of the others while black and gray/silver were the cheapest. Maybe there is a reason there are so many black and gray bikes out there. With BMW and Harley, the standard cheapest color is black and the reds an other colors are extra cost options.

Hello Steve and welcome to the forum :hello2:
I once owned the 07 Exec and enjoyed the color as well
I decided to downsize to the 400 a few years later
I purchased an 08 400 w/ the same Sonoma Red color
There's no doubt you'll enjoy your "New" scoot ;)
Be sure to share some of your riding adventures!
