if u have ever had a previous burg 650 such as i ( 2006 and 2007) then u may have noticed the difference. i am pretty certain that the fuel delivery sytem has been changed starting in 2011. i had heard that suzuki re-vamped the fuel injection on some models in 2011 including the Vstrom. i think the burgman was included.

also, have u noticed that the cvt tends to reach high gear sooner and want to stay in higher gear more than the older models? im sure this is how suzuki is getting better mpg out of the 2011-12 models than in older models. my display shows im estimating 48mpg. i never got near that on my 06 and 07 .

its much less jerky at low speed. its much more forgiving of an unintended throttle blip. im assuming this is all a result of tweaking computer settings in the fuel injection and cvt programming.

so if u have had a older model and now have the 2011 or 12 model, do u notice any of this?

I did notice a change from my 2009 to 2012 650. When accelerating from a stop it seems to have a flat spot. If I give it more throttle it catches up quickly though.

yep. u have to twist throttle a little more than before. its a little bit past the natural wrist position. but with all that said, its still got the same power! passing is effortless! :D

The gas mileage has not changed that much from the 09 650 to the 11 650 (both Execs). On my 09 over 25104 miles I averaged 52.52 MPG. On my 11 over 14437 miles I averaged 53.29 MPG. Not a very big difference.

Your miles per gallon is interesting. I average about 50.5 MPG. If I ride with a motorcycle group (HOG) I get 52 MPG. If I ride by my self I get 49 MPG. I obviously ride faster when free of group riding.
