I rode the Hondamatic to bike night and ran into a guy riding a 1971 Suzuki RE5 rotary motorcycle. He told of a warehouse full of them that would soon be closed and the bikes scrapped. They are selling them off super cheap and have 40-50 running bikes and more than that for $300 a pop as parts bikes.
If anyone is interested in owning a classic very unique bike now is the time. You Mazda tuners would love it.

Here is the contact info:

PS- Some of them are the famous Hercules Brand too

I would love to have a Herc Ro. But don't have the money to keep it running as it should . Even better would be a Norton rotary. Beautifull bike.

I wanted on of these so bad when they came out. Sadly now I have no interest in trying to keep an orphan running.

Back in the 90s I had an RX7 turbo. Great car. Problem was finding a mechanic. Even back then, I found only one or two and they said the investment into tools, manuals and training was just prohibitive for the amount of cars with rotory engines. There wasn't any money in it for them.

Rotory bikes from the 70s would be near impossible to find a mechanic.
