The VIP trunk was bought off of eBay. I don't see anymore of them (currently) on ebay. One online store that has them is :

I've been looking at those too. Anyone know what mount is used to secure it to the Burgman?

It can be bolted directly with the hardware that comes with it, but I think most people are using a Givi mount.

Seatec's comment from the link you just noted:
"Norman, You are correct the VIP trunk is not a quick release. I removed the protruding tabs on the plastic base plate and bolted direct to the metal plate. Made for a nice trunk plateform though and clean installation. I Really like the GIVI setup. " He also notes: "Givi trunk mounting made for a clean installation."

I agree it likely is a much better mount to use a Givi rather than the simple one that comes with it. I emailed the company that makes them and they could not tell me which Givi is best.

My question is simple: Which Givi Mount? I'm not sure what he means by "removing the protrubing tabs on the plastic base plate and bolted directly to the metal plate?" Unsure if he is referencing tabs on the Givi Mount or the Topcase...

I'd really like to get this case, but want to make sure I get the correct Givi Mount to install it...

Make your own plate to mount the trunk, piece of 1/4in aluminum plate, 3 spacers out of tubing, 3 metric bolts, is all you need. I can take mine off and take a photo of it all if you like. Photo of my VIP trunk in gallary. Wayne
