My name is Mac and I ride a Silver 2003 Burgman 650 and live in the metropolitan Atlanta, GA area. Got about 3900 miles on my scooter and it is currently my only means of transportation. I love my scooter and I thank God for this forum.

Take care and be safe.

Hi Mac

Welcome to the forum :hello2: Yeah we are grateful to God too - but he had a big helping hand on this one from Bryan (aka Greengoose)!

Looking forward to hearing more from you.

Stay safe.
Welcome to this forum!

You will find oogles of info here! It is a great thing, also bad....

I can't tell you how much money I have spent on accessories, bags, upgrades, etc.....

These Burgie's are a great way to get around!!!
Mac,

Welcome to BurgmanUSA! Glad you are enjoying your new scooter!

Welcome Mac,

The forum is indeed full of great information and wonderful people.
The downside to all of this - I don't seem to be able to get to bed at a decent hour anymore. :sleepy2:

Enjoy!
Reg
Greetings Mac  and welcome to the forum!

Greetings Mac, and welcome to the forum. :hello2:

I used to only have a scooter; not fun in the winter around here.

Now I have a 4X4 pickup for bad days, and my AN650K for the good days: the perfect mix.

One of our esteemed members has a signature I just love: "Yes, I ride it all year round. No, I'm not insane. I'm poor. With insane, you get free room and board."

Welcome to the BurgmanUSA forums Mac. Glad to have you join us.

I'm not brave enough to make the Burgman my only form of transportatation. I too keep a truck for backup. ;)

But your signature says...

Oh, never mind. I still like it. :)
I've kept 2 vehicles for the last 20 years. The truck is a backup. I'll ride the Burgman when it's cold because I'm cheap ... urmmm ... frugal. But there's no way I'm getting the Burgman out riding in ice and snow. :)

Good plan. I've ridden in ice (unintentionally; it formed while I was at a movie) and snow (it was patchy, and I thought my route was snow free).

My only two crashes were the result.

Hi Bill,

Do you use an electric vest?
Bob,

Not so far. Last bike I was young and foolish and didn't care about the weather. More than once I had by breath freeze and form ice in my beard. I've not needed a heated vest / jacket yet with the Burgman since I've not ridden in the winter (yet). I have been watching the threads talking about them and have started doing a little shopping.
NEW MEMBER

HELLO TO YOU ALL I HAVE A K2 400 IN SILVER I HAVE PUT LIMITED EDITION STICKERS BY THE SIDE OF THE BURGMAN 400 BADGE I THINK THEY LOOK GOOD .
Welcome Mac, from another new to these boards. Lots of useful info to be had.

I use my Burger 12 months of the year, rain hail sleet and snow. No reason not to. 4 wheeled transport - yup got one, don't use it unless backed into a corner by every member of the family :D
Twenty two degrees...

Hi Mac,
I rode to work this morning at 22 degrees F and felt pretty good. Its only 12 miles to my job but I have to negotiate the morning traffic. I understand how you feel about thanking God for your bike. My burgie was the only bike in the motorcycle lot this morning. Its not my only transportation, but it is quickly becoming my preferred transportation. Happy trails to you.
