I recently sold by 2003 Yamaha Silverado Roadstar. I rode this for 9 years and put 40,000 miles on it. Now at 71 years of age I found the roadie to big and to heavy, and to much shifting and clutching. A friend introduced me to his scooter a Burgman and I found this scooter enjoyable to ride and fun, just turn the throttle and go. I have been riding since I was 15, which started with a 250 cc Zundapp 2 cycle motorcycle, new and only $600 dollars back in 1960. I purchased a 2006 650 Burgman last week, May 2015. It is a fun bike and I will post some pics soon of my new ride. I have spent a great deal of time looking at the forums and photos posted by others, I like what I see and read...

Welcome Roger...
I can foresee a ride over to Port Huron,
& then N on 25 up around the Thumb,
or a ride up to The Bridge, then back
down the west shore.....or maybe
you've already done that.

welcome to a great place. Unlike you,I still have my 09 Roadstar but sine I got the Burgie 2 years ago it only gets rode 1 maybe 2 times a year. Friends often ask "Why do you ride that scooter when you have that Roadstar" and I answer cause I only like the Roadstar but I LOVE the Burgie.
