Hey everybody! Wow very cool site! I am a wannabe, I've got it so bad that yes I can taste it. However as you can imagine up here in Homer there is nothing to do but whip out the dust rag. Tell you what though, I would be happy to do that! So the plan is the 650 next summer. I'll probubly sell the boat but you know what they say about boats. I was fantasizing about flying down south and doing the Alcan up. So many scooters out there, but I think I found a home. Thanks for being out there folks!

Welcome to the BurgmanUSA forums mipterdoo. Glad to have you join us. Just curious, how long of a riding season you have up in Homer?

Welcome to the site. Re: ALCAN, How bad can the permafrost heave be on that road though? I had a buddy who a few years ago took trip from Pittsburgh up to Alaska on some Harleys with firends and family. The one part that he had problems with was the heave. He said that all there was to warn him was little flags on the side of the road to mark heaves up or down. Is that all? With the smaller tires of a scooter I would imagine that they would even be bigger problems for us. That is my dream vacation - a road trip to Alaska - either by RV or bike. :D
