Man I forgot what its like to be that cold! Its 56F here in Southern California and people are complaining that its cold!! A long time ago when I lived in the midwest, it was -60F with wind chill one day and I ended up with 3 flat tires on my car because the tires wouldn't hold air at that temp (never bought "General Tires" again since). Well, I tried to walk to a pay phone (there weren't cell phones back then) and couldn't make it a quarter mile. Had hypothermia; 3am; not a car in sight. Finally someone was kind enough to pull over, put me in their car, look at my drivers license and drive me home. It took hours to thaw out... and quite painful too. Every pore in my body was bleeding (you sweat through your pores... the sweat freezes and expands the pores as it freezes, stretching them out of proportion). Shortly after that I moved and promised myself I'd never live anywhere where it snows again. This story happened right about this time of year (Xmas/New Year) and goes to show there's some great people out there. If it weren't for that person I'd probably not been alive. He never came in the house, never left any info, and I never heard from him again. But if by some little chance he may have a Burgman and reading this forum... and if he remembers this from a long, long, long time ago back in Michigan... Thank You!!

Merry Christmas to all the wonderful people on this website. May it be a day of peace, laughter and lots of family fun! :D

Take a moment during the day to say a little prayer of 'thanks' for all those brave men & women in Iraq & Afghanistan who will not be making it home for this Christmas. :( Pray also for their families, who surely must miss them!

Over half of my team is over in those regions right now. I would be there myself if one of my co-worker hadn't volunteered to go over the Holidays. I will go in June in his place. (Stan, if you are reading this...Thanks DUDE! My wife and boys appreciate it.) Many prayer are being said tonight for those away from their loved ones! Thanks.
